General Walker takes on this esteemed role, continuing a tradition that dates back to 1947 when Field Marshal Montgomery founded the association. As someone with close ties to winter sports and a deep connection to the AWSA community, we are confident that his guidance and patronage will be invaluable in fostering physically robust, mentally resilient, and determined soldiers through winter sports.
The entire Army Winter Sports community is excited and looking forward to a full and demanding season ahead under General Walker’s leadership. We can’t wait for him to witness the passion, energy, and will to win that our soldiers bring to the slopes and tracks!
